New and updated resources in CCC’s online Athlete Development Matrix

    CCC’s Coaching and Athlete Development team keeps adding new resources to the ADM for coaches benefit! Detailed explanations of each training zone with examples of corresponding workouts are now available for T2T, L2C and T2C stages, along with samples of yearly, seasonal and weekly training plans for those stages of development.

    This new resource is meant to illustrate all that applies to training zones:

    1. Energy Systems and corresponding Training Zones
    2. Sub-energy systems’ training zones
    3. Different methods of monitoring training zone intensity: % HRmax, of HR reserve + rest HR, RPE Range (Borg Scale), Blood Lactate, % of MAS
    4. Average sustainable time at different intensities
    5. Typical interval length for developing specific sub-energy systems’ and recommended work:rest ratios
    6. Examples of easier and harder workouts for developing each specific energy system

    Yearly training plans’ samples have been updated to reflect typical planning for athletes in the second half of each of the T2T and L2C stages of for the T2C stage
