Kershaw & Crawford take 2nd and 5th in Olten, Switzerland City Sprints

Devon Kershaw and Chandra Crawford competed in the Co-op City Sprint in Olten, Switzerland today (Dec 7) and came up with some impressive results against a deep field.  Kershaw finished 2nd in a field that included the Torino Olympics bronze medalist and Crawford finished 5th, on a course that was constructed entirely of man-made snow on a 400m loop in the city of Olten, Switzerland.

This was the first free sprint race of the 2006-07 season for Kershaw and Crawford.  The first World Cup free sprint race was scheduled for this coming weekend in Cogne/Val d’Aosta, Italy but due to lack of snow, the race was cancelled.  With cancellations and postponements of European World Cup races being common place for this season, teams have had to search for alternate training and racing outlets until the snow conditions improve.
