National Ski Team 2006, coaches, support staff and other dignitaries gathered in Vancouver on June 16th, 2005 for "A Taste of Excellence" hosted by Haywood Securities at the home of Eric Savics. Members of Culinary Team British Columbia, a group made up of chefs from across British Columbia, again participated in this exceptional fundraising event. Culinary Team BC shared with guests many of the exquisite creations which had earned them Gold and a fourth at the World Culinary Olympics in Germany this past October.
The annual Haywood event that combined food, fine wine, entertainment and a beautiful location, continues to provide needed funds for the NST's preparation for the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Our athletes will be taking part in special events in Canmore and Calgary during the first 10 days of July to help promote the 2005 Centennial World Cup scheduled for December 15-18 in Canmore and then will be off to the New Zealand Snow Farm for some intense on snow distance work.
The Team is eternally grateful to Haywood Securities and our many friends in Vancouver for their ongoing commitment and support of our training and competition program. Special thanks to Anna Schmidt and company☺for doing such a great job coordinating the event.
