Ski Fit North Alberta Ski Clothes Donations!

    October 28, 2014

    Hey there Alberta Skiers!

Ski Fit North Alberta wants to help you de-clutter and get organized, while helping out a great cause!

SFNA works with some of Alberta’s most vulnerable and marginalized youth; exposing them to sport in a positive environment, teaching them to ski and helping them develop valuable life-skills.

Working outside with our kids all winter, we’ve found that out-fitting them in high-quality used clothing and gear to ski with really makes a big difference to their experience.  We've even got some youngsters who will be racing for the first time this year - and they need something to wear!

If you happen to have used ski clothing or equipment that you would like to see go to a place where it will make a big difference, then please consider this request.

In particular we are looking for:
    - Gloves/Mitts
    - Toques/Buffs
    - Warm-up Jackets and Pants
    - Ski Suits
    - Skis
    - Boots
    - Poles

We work with kids from Kindergarten to Grade 12 - meaning we have all shapes and sizes of kids - so we’ll accept all shapes and sizes of items (as long as they’re clean and in good shape)!

Once you’ve assembled a few items (or held a big clothing/equipment drive at your ski club because you’re such an awesome club! ) please feel free to drop-off your donation at the donation boxes at the following spots:
    - CCC Office in Canmore or, the CCA Office in Edmonton.

One exception - if your club has really gotten in to the spirit and got a great big pile of stuff for us, we’ll come to you and pick it up!  Just send a quick note to Mike Neary at the CCA office to let him know where to find it, and we’ll be there!

Thank you for considering this request, and thank you for your generosity.

    Happy Skiing this winter!

Beckie, Andrew and the SFNA gang
