There are a number of Para-Nordic specific events taking place each year ranging from local camps and clinics to domestic and international competitions. Para-Nordic Competition
Para-Nordic competition opportunities range from local club events to the Paralympics. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) organizes and governs all international Para-Nordic competition including World Cup, World Championships and the Paralympics. Domestic Para-Nordic competition is organized and governed by Cross Country Canada (CCC) and its Divisions and is generally integrated into able-bodied events such as Provincial Cups, NorAms, Nationals and Canada Winter Games to meet specific Para-Nordic competition needs. Race licensing for athletes
To compete in CCC sanctioned Para-Nordic events in Canada athletes and guides must have a CCC race license. IPC race licenses are necessary for Para-Nordic athletes and guides who wish to compete internationally in IPC sanctioned events. To find out more and apply for these licenses please go to our
