    • NDC caps off solid season

      Changes are afoot for the National Development Centre’s cross-country ski program in Thunder Bay.
      Head coach Eric Bailey will officially step down later this month after eight seasons of leading the team that features elite skiers from across Canada. Bailey will work with the sport’s national governing body — Cross Country Canada (CCC) — as the Assistant Director of coaching development. The Thunder Bay native will do so without moving to the CCC’s base in Canmore, Alta.

      “I’m just ready for a change,” Bailey said Tuesday during the NDC’s year-end ceremony thanking sponsors at Kamview Nordic Centre. “I feel the team is set up now. Our infrastructure is so much stronger. I can step away and it can still succeed.”...
