National Ski Team Background
Olivia made the Junior National Team for the first time in 2011 and has been working her way through the development path. She enjoyed a breakthrough campaign as a U23 in 2015 when she captured her first senior NorAm victory in Sovereign Lake, and then went on to place 12th at World U23 Championships in Kazakhstan. A few weeks later she made her debut on the World Cup and then at the Senior World Championships in Falun. Olivia earned a spot to compete for Canada at the prestigious Ski Tour Canada in 2016, and is now back making her mark with the Senior National Team.

Cross-Country Skiing Background
Raised in a family of cross-country skiers with both of her parents being ski instructors, Olivia was on skis from the time she was a baby – be it on her dad’s back or being towed behind her parents with a makeshift harness. She got her first pair of skis at age four. Olivia spent her early years in her dad’s ski group called the “Challenge Program” at the Viking Ski Club. They toured and skied off trails always doing fun activities like building jumps and preparing for the Canadian Ski Marathon. Olivia joined her first racing club – Fondeurs Laurentides – when she was 15 and started training seriously for competitive racing.

Personal
Olivia loves to keep life as fun as possible. She accomplishes this by exploring as much as she can – going on adventure skis is one of her favourite things to do. She loves to do any activity that is in season. Olivia even tries to do a little dancing whenever she can as well – sometimes even in public.
