    1) Dec. 13, 15, 16 Canmore Haywood NorAm World Jr. U23 Trials

    These events have had to be switched from Whistler to Canmore due to lack of snow in the Callaghan area.

    The events will be used to selection the athletes that will represent Canada at the World Junior and U23 Championships in Lahti Finland Jan 20-26. Thursday will be classic sprint races, followed by interval start skate races on Saturday and mass start races on Sunday. Winners of each race qualify for the team, additional team members are selected based on the detailed selection criteria.

    2) Dec 12-19 Vuokatti, Finland Para-Nordic World Cup

    The first Para-Nordic World Cup of the year will take place in Vuokatti, Finland, with Brian McKeever and Mark Arendz leading the Canadian team. Follow the CCC press releases for update on team performances. Today Mark Arendz claimed gold and Brian McKeever silver in the 10k classic races.

    3) Dec 15,16 World Cup, Davos, Switzerland

    The World Cup has moved to Central Europe for this final weekend of racing before Christmas.

    The races will be skate sprints on Saturday and interval start skate races on Sunday. The Canadian team will include Emily Nishikawa, Cendrine Browne, Alex Harvey, Lenny Valjas and Andy Shields.

    Sprint finals start 7:30 am EST on Saturday, on Sunday the women's race is at 3:30  am EST and the men's races is at 5:30 am EST.
     
    The races can generally be watched on the following website http://www.sportlemon.tv/ or other streams, ensure you have proper computer security activated. Eurosport UK are generally providing live coverage in English. Note television doesn't necessarily cover the complete race live. Complete event coverage is usually available using the subscription based Eurosport player, however your computer's IP address must be based in Europe.
