      Here is the latest news from us in 2011 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. We have gotten off to a flying start with ticket sales, but have many good tickets left. For a guide to buying tickets, please read this.

      We have also made some great deals with the hotels in Oslo, so the public can book rooms via our website.

      Promote Norwegian cuisine

      Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs, Lisbeth Berg-Hansen and Minister of Agriculture and Food, Lars Peder Brekk, got to taste samples of some of the dishes to be served to spectators during the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo, when the menu was unveiled in the WSC Pavilion on Thursday 30 September.

      The official WSC sweater

      On 29 September Marit Bjørgen and Øystein Pettersen unveiled the official sweater of the 2011 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. It has been designed and produced by Dale in the WSC colours of black, orange and white as well as in two other colour combinations. The knitted sweater, which is now on sale to the public, will be worn by the Norwegian athletes and ski teams during the WSC.

      Will take crowd spirit to new heights

      When athletes are asked about what keeps them going in a tough race, crowd spirit is the one factor that they always point to!  Ski-VM 2011 is planning a special 'Crowd Spirit Project' to keep the energy of the crowd keen between events and make sure there is an unforgettable mood at the Nordic Ski World Championships.

      75,000 sold, but many great tickets still available

      In three weeks, a total of 75,000 tickets for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships have been sold. For the most attractive events, the stadium tickets are starting to fill up. However, there are still many great tickets available for all events. In addition, top tickets are continually released for sale when people do not pick up their reservations.

      15 year old Maren first to jump

      Maren Lundby made history on 6 September when she was the first ski jumper to soar from the brand new Midtstubakken. The result for the young woman was a respectable 87 metre jump.
